| Schola Antiquae Vocis is a non-profit organization. It is a unique local female choir specializing in | ||
| singing Gregorian Chant and Renaissance polyphony - music rich in tradition dating from the 2nd to the | ||
| 18th centuries: the music of Palestrina, De Victoria, Viadana, and others, along with Gregorian Chant, | ||
| Classical and Sacred repertoire. | ||
| We are a very friendly group of people who enjoy our choir so much that we can assure that you would | ||
| feel the same if you decide to join us. It would give you the opportunity to sing and perform concerts of | ||
| incredibly beautiful music. | ||
| In our 12 years of existence, we have sung more than 80 concerts in the Puget Sound area, British | ||
| Columbia (Vancouver & Victoria), participated as a guest choir in 2006 to the annual Bach Festival at | ||
| Mount Angel Abbey in Oregon and participated in two concert tours of Italy in 2003 & 2007. | ||
| While it is inevitable that illness or certain unusual circumstances may cause you to miss a rehearsal, | ||
| regular attendance is essential. Missing voices alter the balance of the choir's sound, and every choir | ||
| member is counting on you to be there! Our season runs from the middle of September to the end of | ||
| June. | ||
